Union falls in close road battle at Carson-Newman

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Union University women's soccer team battled Carson-Newman University in a close road contest Wednesday afternoon, falling 2-1 at McCown Field. Carson-Newman scored first in the seventh minute, but the Lady Bulldogs quickly answered. Rebekah Jackson found the back of the net in the 15th minute to tie the match at 1-1. The goal was Jackson's first of the season. The score remained tied through halftime before Carson-Newman took a 2-1 lead in the 58th minute.
