Emil Kischka wins FloCollege/CCAA Defensive Player of the Week honor

California Collegiate Athletic Association Complete list of weekly winners >>> Emil Kischka of Cal State LA has picked up the season’s first FloCollege/CCAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award after leading the team to two shutouts. Kischka and the Golden Eagles were dominant on defense as LA blanked Concordia 1-0 and shutout Vanguard 4-0 to start the 2026 campaign. The junior defender from Braunschweig, Germany, was the best Golden Eagle in the backline, limiting Concordia to just one shot on goal and held Vanguard to two total shots.
