No. 24 CNU Men’s Soccer Hosts a Pair in Season-Opening Weekend Starting Friday Against Moravian

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The nationally-ranked Christopher Newport men’s soccer team will open the 2026 schedule at home this weekend, kicking off a six-game homestand at Captains Field. The 24th-ranked Christopher Newport squad will welcome Moravian University (1-0-0) for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff in the opener on Friday and will then host Kean University (1-0-0) on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. The Captains are set to embark on the seventh season under head coach Justin Chezem after ending last season with a 13-3-5 overall record and a conference championship.
