Soccer Ties #23 Memphis on Thursday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The University of Houston soccer team finished a 1-1 draw against #23 Memphis at the Billy J. Murphy Soccer/Track & Field Complex on Thursday evening. Memphis (2-2-1) got on the board first with a goal by Ellis Kelly in the 10th minute. Houston (2-1-3) countered in the 19th minute when senior Adelhia Ghonda broke up a pass in the Cougars' attacking third which led to a 1-on-1 finish past the goalkeeper.
