AL wild-card roundup: Guardians lead Blue Jays by one game in race for last spot
The Detroit Tigers didn’t do the Toronto Blue Jays any favours on Friday. The free-falling Tigers blew two big leads against Cleveland in a doubleheader, leading to a pair of walk-off wins for the Guardians. The Blue Jays lost only a half-game in the race, though, as they crushed the Kansas City Royals in their series opener. The Blue Jays are now one game behind the Guardians for the AL’s final wild-card spot.
