Sterlington football takes the first step with Franklin Parish victory

WINNSBORO — The Sterlington Panthers took the first step in making their own history. After winning back-to-back Division III nonselect championships, Sterlington’s ultimate goal is going for a three-peat — something it has never done before. The Panthers, now in D-II nonselect, traveled to Franklin Parish, a top-10 team from last season that fell by one score in the second round to Lutcher.
