Cross Country impresses at Elon Opener, Pierce and Horton earn Top 10 finishes

ELON, N.C. – Campbell cross country opened the 2026 season Friday night at the Elon Opener, with the women’s team placing fourth. Senior Emily Pierce and sophomore Delaney Horton each earned top 10 finishes in the women’s 4K. The women’s team totaled 109 points in the 4K, while the men’s team recorded 197 points in the 6K for a seventh place finish. WOMEN’S 4K The Camels placed four runners in the top 30, led by Pierce, who finished seventh with a time of 14:27.7. Campbell improved from a sixth place finish at last year’s Elon Opener to fourth this season.…
