Galvin Wins Collegiate Debut as Marist Men Open Season at Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Freshman Sean Galvin made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut, taking first place in the Marist men's cross country season opener Friday at the Vassar Farm and Ecological Preserve. Galvin covered the 6-kilometer course in 19:31.0 to lead the Red Foxes individually in the season-opening race. Sophomore Chase Kober also turned in a strong performance, surging over the second half of the race to finish fifth overall in 19:50.8.
