Keydets fall to Winthrop

LEXINGTON, Va. – Despite a 0-0 tie at the half, the VMI men's soccer team surrendered three goals in the second half to visiting Winthrop University as the Eagles earned a 3-0 victory over the Keydets Saturday afternoon at Patchin Field. With the loss, VMI falls to 3-4-0 on the season while the Eagles improve to 3-1-0. Winthrop's Juma Baden earned the game-winning goal at the 46:41 mark off an assist from Lucas Lindstrup as the Eagles struck quickly to open the second half.
