Lake Forest Routs Greenville 77-14 in Season Opener

The Forester football team began the 2026 season with the third-highest scoring game in program history on Saturday, defeating visiting Greenville University 77-14 on Farwell Field. The home team reached the end zone on all 11 of its possessions. Tailback Cole Sorensen started the scoring with a 13-yard run and quarterback Ethan Springer followed with a 7-yarder. Springer also threw for four touchdowns, including a 48-yarder to Luke Maxson in the first quarter and a 28-yarder to Luka Nikolich and a 36-yarder to Jack Lewis in the second.
