Long Beach State Men Place Second At Mark Covert Classic

CORONA, Calif. -- Long Beach State opened the 2026 cross country season Saturday morning with a runner-up finish from the men and a seventh-place showing from the women at the Mark Covert Classic at Green River Golf Club. The Beach placed three runners among the top seven of the men's 8K and finished with 59 points, just five behind team champion Cal State Fullerton.
