Mammoths gain season-opening split at Roger Williams Invitational

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Amherst College Women’s Volleyball team commenced its 2026 season at the Roger Williams Invitational, losing its opener to Plymouth State (3-0) and subsequently defeating Roger Williams (3-0) at the Paolino Recreation Center. The Mammoths (1-1) lost to Plymouth State in three hard-fought rounds (16-25, 22-25, and 22-25), and earned their first victory against Rgoer Williams in three more contentious rounds (25-21, 25-22, and 25-14). The team’s next match-up will be against Springfield College on Tuesday, September 8th at Blake Arena.
