New Haven Falls at Home on Saturday

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — New Haven lost to Stonehill 21-3 on Saturday at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium. New Haven turned its opening possession into points, moving 43 yards after Logan Schmidt’s (Carlisle, Pa./Big Spring) 27-yard return and a Stonehill offside penalty before Liam Quigley (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Govenor Livingston) made a 21-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead. The Chargers were held scoreless in the second quarter while Stonehill turned two short-field possessions into touchdowns, including a 1-yard Aidan Garrett run that made it 14-3 and a 31-yard Jack O’Connell pass to Torance Washington Jr. that pushed the score to 21-3.…
