Rock wraps up time at Grand Rapids Downtown Classic

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Slippery Rock University volleyball team concluded its time at the Hampton Inn and Suites Grand Rapids Downtown Classic with two matches Saturday on the campus of Davenport University. The Rock opened the day with a four-set loss to host Davenport (25-16, 24-26, 25-23, 25-22) followed by being swept by Saginaw Valley State University (25-18, 25-22, 25-9). Slippery Rock exits the second weekend of the 2026 season with a 3-4 overall record. Davenport improves to 5-1 and Saginaw Valley State 6-2 following the wins.
