Smoker Places Ninth as Men’s Cross Country Open Season at Bates

LEWISTON, ME – Clark University men’s cross country got their season started with a trip north for the Bates NCAA Regional Preview, competing against 10 other teams in the 4340 meter run. Senior Summit Smoker cracked the top ten, finishing ninth in the field of 148 runners. How it Happened Smoker crossed with a time of 13:42.3, averaging a 5:04.9 mile on his way to a team-best finish.
