Vulcans start fall by hosting weather-shortened event

BELLE VERNON, Pa. (Sept. 4) – The California (PA) women’s golf team started its fall campaign by hosting golfers from 18 programs at Cedarbrook Golf Course for the weather-shortened Vulcan Invitational that concluded on Friday. TEAM NOTES • The Vulcans finished seventh in the team standings with a 108-over 676 (340-336). • West Chester earned the invitational by five strokes with a 43-over 611 (306-305). • Jefferson (PA) placed second at the event with a 48-over 616 (315-301), while Adelphi (NY) shot a 69-over 637 (323-314) to finish third overall. • The event was scheduled for a 36-18 hole format;…
