Doan Leads Hatters in Opening Round at Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Sophomore transfer Uy Doan fired a 4-under-par 68 to lead the Stetson University men’s golf team through the opening round of the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate at Grande Dunes Resort Club on Sunday. Doan is tied for sixth place in the 90-player field, three strokes behind tournament leader Ciaran Murphy of Lipscomb. Coastal Carolina’s Jack Lee, last year’s tournament medalist, is tied for second at 6-under with Elon’s Jack Wieler.
