Young Italian Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli (pictured)drove to victory in the 2026 Italian GP Sunday. On fresher and softer Pirelli tires Antonelli who started on the last row, drove through the field and passed his teammate George Russell with three laps to go and pulled away to win by 3.8 seconds. — by Mark Cipolloni’s— Max Verstappen kept the Mercedes cars honest for awhile but ultimately had to settle for third, 14.7s behind Antonelli.
