Furuya Scores as No. 23 Memphis Comes Up Short at No. 8 Ohio State
COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The No. 23 Memphis women’s soccer team fell 3-1 to No. 8 Ohio State on Sunday night at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Buckeyes (4-0-1) scored twice in the opening half before adding a third in the 69th minute. Memphis (2-3-1) pulled one back late through Mihiro Furuya , who netted her first goal of the season and third of her career off an Ally Casey cross.
