Men’s Soccer Controls Play in Scoreless Draw with Temple

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – While controlling the offensive tempo for over 80 minutes, the Navy men’s soccer team (1-2-2) was unable to break through as it ended a three-game homestand with a 0-0 draw against Temple (0-3-2) on Saturday evening at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Backed by goalkeeper Sam Clark posting his second clean sheet in as many games, the Midshipmen kept the Owls in check for almost the whole duration of the scoreless contest by outshooting the visitors, 14-8, but Temple’s Gavin Atkinson tallied eight saves to stymie the Navy attack and keep both teams in the game late.…
