Men’s Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at St. John’s
QUEENS, N.Y. – FIU men's soccer fell 1-0 to St. John's Sunday evening at Belson Stadium. Marking the 30th anniversary of their 1996 National Championship appearance, both teams battled to a scoreless first half, with the Panthers (2-2-1) holding a 5-3 advantage in shots heading into the break. Early in the second half, St. John's broke the deadlock after a foul in the box by Alfonso Gilleard-Soriano led to a penalty kick, which the Red Storm converted to take a 1-0 advantage in the 59th minute.
