Howell Earns Lone Star Honor

ALPINE, Texas – Freshman Will Howell was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1. This is the first time the Lobos have earned back-to-back honors. Howell had a strong performance in leading Sul Ross State to a 53-26 win over Adams State (Sept. 5). He was 24-of-39 for 423 yards and five touchdowns and ran for 31 yards and a score to total 454 yards in total offense.
