Mountain Cat Golfers Open Fall Season With Ninth-Place Finish at Red Bandanna Invitational

FULL RESULTS The Pitt-Johnstown men's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a ninth-place finish out of 11 teams at the Division I Red Bandanna Invitational, hosted by Boston College at the Kaluhyat Course at Turning Stone Resort on Sunday and Monday. The Mountain Cats posted rounds of 317-314-321 for a 54-hole score of 952 (+88). Giovanni Vezza and Kooper MacKay tied for 27th place out of 66 golfers to pace Pitt-Johnstown. Vezza carded rounds of 78-74-81 for a 233 (+17), while Mackay matched him stroke-for-stroke at 77-79-77, also totaling 233 (+17). Eli Ropietski was next among the Mountain Cats'...
