LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western forward Sophie Crowther (New Westminster, BC) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping the Spartans to a weekend split with a win over the Fraser Valley Cascades and a loss to the UBC Thunderbirds. The fifth-year education student was instrumental in the Spartans’ 1-0 win over the Cascades. Crowther finished the match with three shots, two on target, and got the assist on the game-winning goal with a perfectly placed corner kick to Lianna Holz for a header from the centre of the penalty area in added time.
