Yassin Joof Named Little East Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Women’s Soccer 9/7/2026 7:28:00 AM Providence, R.I.— Rhode Island College senior back Yassin Joof (Johnston, R.I.) was named the Little East Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in a pair of wins to open the 2026 season. Joof was a stalwart on the backline for the Anchorwomen as they kicked off the season with a 2-0 win at Salem State on Sept. 1. She was equally impressive in the club’s, 5-1, win over Dean on Sept. 5 as RIC allowed just three shots and only a penalty kick goal. She has played in two games, starting…
