Aashir Patel named OAC Men’s Golfer of the Week By Tim Glon ADA — Senior Aashir Patel (Schaumberg, Ill./Conant)was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the week for the week of Sept. 1-7. Patel won Medalist honors with a 5-under-par 67, leading the Polar Bears (10-0 overall) to a record-setting victory at the ONU Joe Campoli Classic on Monday. Northern fired a 7-under par 281 on the day, breaking the school’s previous 18-hole record of 283. Patel also tied for third with an even par 72 as Northern won the ONU Kickoff Classic on Sunday.
