Diamondbacks Activate Corbin Burnes for First Start Since June 2025

The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated starting pitcher Corbin Burnes from the 60-day injured list. Arizona also added pitcher Kade Strowo from its Triple-A affiliate while optioning pitchers Gerardo Carrillo and Jose Cabrera. Burnes has been sidelined since June 1, 2025, after needing Tommy John surgery to help repair an elbow injury. The starter had previously told reporters that he was hoping to be aggressive in his recovery and was targeting a return during the All-Star break.
