Schmittel Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

Greencastle, Ind. – DePauw’s Gray Schmittel (So., Goshen, Ky./North Oldham) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week as a return specialist. Schmittel returned six punts for 115 yards in DePauw’s 31-23 season-opening win at Rose-Hulman with the longest coming late in the third when he broke free for an 82-yard return for a touchdown that extended the Tigers’ lead to 28-16. It marked DePauw’s first punt return for a touchdown since Andy Hunt’s 58-yarder against Oberlin on Oct. 7, 2017.
