The ‘King of Penalty Minutes’ Dennis Bonvie trades the Sin Bin for the Bruins’ executive suite

On the ice, Dennis Bonvie was known for dropping the gloves with anyone willing to take a punch to the face. Bonvie, 53, racked up 311 penalty minutes in the NHL, along with 4,493 penalty minutes in the AHL. Together, that made him the most penalized player in pro hockey history. Inducted into the AHL Hall of Fame in 2024, Bonvie’s polarizing professional career led him to unforeseen heights off the ice.
