Fraser Minten Signs $50.4M Seven-Year Deal with Bruins, Changes NHL Contract Trends

A promising young player has signed a big-ticket contract, spelling a change of the times in the NHL. On Tuesday, the Boston Bruins signed forward Fraser Minten to a seven-year contract extension, with an AAV of $7.4 million. During the span of the deal, which will carry from 2027-28 through 2033-34, it will pay him an astounding $50.4 million. Minten is certainly projected to become a notable player in the league, and clearly the Bruins think highly of him.
