Grinnell women’s soccer extends successful string against Coe with 2-1 victory
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s women’s soccer team hasn’t lost to Coe College since 2019, and the Pioneers were determined not to see that streak end Wednesday. Tied 0-all at halftime, Grinnell scored just 26 seconds into the second stanza and later added a tie-breaking goal in the 77th minute for a 2-1 victory over the Kohawks. Grinnell, 5-0-1 against Coe in the last six meetings between the squads, earned its first victory of the season on a sunny afternoon at Springer Field.
