Hessen Locks Up Program’s First GLVC Cross Country Weekly Award

Rockhurst cross country junior Carrington Hessen has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday (Sept. 9). Hessen earns the first GLVC Runner of the Week honor of her career following a record-setting performance at the KU Bob Timmons Classic on Friday (Sept. 5). The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native finished fourth overall in a field of 66 competitors and was the top finisher among all non-Division I runners.
