Prairie Stars Improve In Final Round At UIndy Invitational

The UIS women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with an eighth-place finish at the UIndy Invitational, held Tuesday and Wednesday at Champions Pointe Golf Club. The Prairie Stars finished with a three-round total of 958, carding rounds of 319, 323 and 316. Gracie Russell led Illinois Springfield in her first tournament as a Prairie Star, finishing tied for 26th with a 54-hole total of 234.
