Grace Simpson (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) scored at 86:54 as the Chargers took the lead late after generating a season-high 21 shots, including 14 in the second half. Maria Lobo (Porto, Portugal/Escola Secundaria Fontes Pereira de Melo) gave New Haven a late first-half chance when her shot hit the top woodwork in the 44th minute, but the Blue & Gold could not break through.
