Austin Peay Mourns the Passing of Former Softball Coach Chris Austin

CLARKSVILLE—Austin Peay State University athletics mourns the passing of former head softball coach and statistician Chris Austin, who passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 65. Austin was Austin Peay’s head softball coach from 1992-98, amassing a 134-204 record. His 134 career wins remains second all-time in Austin Peay history, eclipsed by current head coach Kassie Stanfill in 2024.
