NJIT Defeats LIU, 3-0; Breaks Through for 3 Goals in Second Half

NEWARK, N.J. — NJIT erupted to score all three of its goals in the second half as the Highlanders broke through for a 3-0 victory over LIU Thursday afternoon at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. After paying to a 0-0 score in the first half, NJIT dominated the run of play over the final 45 minutes. The Highlanders out-shot the Sharks, 19-6, in the second half, and 27-12 overall.
