Rice Wins Big South Freshman of the Week Following Career Debut

CHARLESTON – The Big South Conference announced the recipients for the women's cross country weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon with Amron Rice claiming Freshman of the Week. This past Friday marked her collegiate debut as she ran in the CSU Buc Open. Rice claimed fourth overall in the field and was the third finisher for the Buccaneers at the meet. She had a time of 18:15.6 in the 5K race to help lead Charleston Southern to the team championship at the meet with a team score of just 19 points.
