Grand Haven coach reaches milestone victory in Bucs’ dominating sweep over East Kentwood

LocalSportsJournal.com Grand Haven volleyball coach Aaron Smaka recorded his 700th victory on Thursday evening. The Bucs opened OK-Red play and cruised to a three-set victory over East Kentwood (25-9, 25-21, 25-6). Mallory Woiteshek led the Bucs’ offense with 10 kills. Allie Musial had seven kills, while Ellie Goers, Vara Teunis and Lia Dwyer added four kills apiece. Bria Hogeboom scored six aces and made 26 assists. Stella Lindegman contributed five aces. Alicia Fumarolo had a solid service run, scoring six points in the final set. Grand Haven (14-4, 1-0) hosts an invitational on Saturday.
