Grinnell men’s soccer team enjoys historical performance with victory at UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The last time Grinnell College’s men’s soccer team began a season 3-0, no player on the 2026 squad had been born. The Pioneers achieved a feat Friday they hadn’t seen since the 1999 season when they shut out the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 1-0 to give them three victories in as many outings this year. Oliver Klemm ’29 scored Grinnell’s goal early in the second half on an assist by Samuel Gojjam ’27, and Jack Alexander ’29 weaved the shutout at keeper.
