Grinnell women’s soccer team puts up strong front against UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. – Grinnell College’s defense held firm through the first 45 minutes, turning away shot after shot by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in women’s soccer action Friday. That resulted in a 0-all draw at intermission. However, the Warhawks got a goal four minutes into the second stanza and added another four minutes later for a 2-0 victory in non-conference play. Grinnell keeper Peyton Dixon ’27 posted six saves, while players getting shots for the Pioneers were Teya Lochridge ’29 and Maya Mozena ’28. The shot by Lochridge was on target.
