The BC Lions have locked up one of the CFL's premier pass rushers. The Lions have extended defensive lineman Mathieu Betts through 2027, the team announced on Friday. Betts has spent the past four seasons with the Lions after beginning his career for two campaigns with the Edmonton Elks, who selected him third overall in the 2019 CFL draft. The 31-year-old broke through in 2023, recording a franchise-record 18 sacks as well as 44 tackles.
