Marauders fall to Bulldogs in NSIC opener

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary volleyball team (2-7, 0-1 Northern Sun) battled hard but fell in three sets (25-21, 25-11, 25-17) to the University of Minnesota Duluth (8-1, 1-0 NSIC) in the Marauders first conference match of the season. UMary recorded 29 kills on a .140 hitting percentage, while UMD posted 50 kills on a .410 hitting percentage. The Marauders had 27 assists and four aces, while the Bulldogs had 47 assists and five aces. The first set was a back-and-forth contest with both teams exchanging leads.
