Nolan scores top-10 finish as USI men finish fifth

By: Dan McDonnell, USI Athletic Communication EAST LANSING, Mich.— University of Southern Indiana Men's Cross Country landed a fifth-place finish out of 23 teams at the Michigan State University Spartan Invite Friday morning. Senior Alex Nolan notched a top-10 finish to lead the Screaming Eagles, who finished with 131 points. Nolan finished ninth in the 312-competitor field with an eight-kilometer time of 24 minutes, 45.9 seconds. His time was a little more than 11 seconds off the winning pace, set by Michigan State sophomore Jasper Cane.
