Humboldt Places First at 2026 Jim Hunt Invitational

MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. – The Cal Poly Humboldt men’s cross country team used a deep performance to win the Jim Hunt Invitational Saturday morning at Beau Pre Golf Club. The men’s 8K saw Nicholas Brichta at the front, crossing the finish line in 24:42.1, winning the race by more than a minute. The Lumberjacks placed four runners inside the top 10 and finished with 31 points to claim the team championship. Jonah Grubbs was Humboldt’s next finisher, placing third overall in 25:50.5.
