Pacific claims first win with five-set comeback

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The third time was the charm. Playing its third straight five-set match, including its second of the day, the Pacific volleyball team edged Occidental 3-2 Friday night in the Whittier Invite for the Boxers first win of the season. Tied 21-21, Pacific scored four straight points to win the opening set 25-21. However, Occidental evened the match by winning the second set 25-19 and then dominated the third set 25-12.
