Redblacks get boost from quarterback change but winless skid continues

TORONTO — The Ottawa Redblacks found at least a temporary solution to their quarterback woes on Saturday. But it wasn’t enough to snap the longest losing streak in the CFL’s modern era. On a day veteran quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson gave the Redblacks a spark in relief, the Redblacks suffered a heartbreaking 26-23 loss to the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field. The Redblacks’ 18th loss in a row dating back to last season was sealed when Lirim Hajrullahu drilled a 29-yard walk-off field goal.
