St. John’s Cruises Past NJIT, 3-0

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The St. John’s volleyball team swept NJIT to start the second day of the Iona Invitational on Saturday afternoon, 3-0. Head Coach Joanne Persico faced off against St. John’s Hall of Famer and NJIT Assistant Coach Jackie Ahlers. Ahlers is one of the greatest hitters in program history, ranking third all-time in kills with 1,766. During her time in Queens, Ahlers guided the 2005 Red Storm team to a 26-9 overall record and helped catapult the program to some of its most successful years.
