Grand Haven captures first-place trophy in own volleyball invitational

LocalSportsJournal.com The state-ranked Grand Haven volleyball team swept their own volleyball invitational for the third consecutive year. The Bucs, ranked No. 8 in Division 1, topped Stevensville Lakeshore (25-20, 25-18) and Sparta (25-18, 25-17) in pool play, then advanced to take down Grandville (25-14, 22-25, 15-4). The Bucs moved on and came away with the win against a competitive Zeeland East squad (21-25, 25-23, 15-11) in the gold bracket final.
