Pioneer men’s soccer team stays perfect with victory at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. – Already off to its best start since 1999, Grinnell College’s men’s soccer team kept the good times going Sunday by shutting out Eureka College 2-0. The Pioneers, who improved to 4-0, have outscored their foes 11-2 through four outings. Grinnell absolutely dominated on both ends of the pitch, holding a 22-2 edge in shots and 6-1 count in corners. The Pioneers made a statement right from the start, as Jack Pennachio ’28 scored his team-high third goal less than two minutes into the match.
