Altamont soccer was able to withstand both the heat and a tough Effingham team as they pulled out a 1-0 win over the Flaming Hearts at home on Saturday morning. After 26 minutes of play that say the Indians just miss on several nice shots on goal, Altamont broke through when Ashton Buchanan received a pass from Preston Kroening and put it in for the goal and the 1-0 Altamont lead.
